Mechanical Properties of Materials are defined below

Strength: 
Strength of material refers that the ability of the material standing up to the forces which are being applied to it without bending it, breaking it, shattering it or deforming it in any way.

Elasticity:
Elasticity of material denotes ability of the material for absorbing the force and flexing in different directions, and then returns to its original position

Plasticity:
Plasticity refers to the ability of the material in which it does not regain to it's original position and become changed permanently.





Brittleness:
It is the property of material which due to which it does not bear more load and break before being bent this is due to more corbon.

Ductility:
Ductility is the ability of the material in which it become bent (deform) but does not break this is due to less corbon.

Tensile Strength:
It is the ability of the material which allows it to be stretched without breaking it.

Malleability:
It is the ability of the material which shows that if we hit the material it will not be broken but it will be forged.  

Toughness:
It is the ability of the material which makes it that much able to bear a sudden shock.
